GOD DESIRES RELATIONSHIP, NOT DISTANCE

GOD has never desired distance from HIS people. From the beginning, HIS heart has been relationship, communion, and closeness. In the Kingdom of GOD, intimacy is not reserved for the spiritually elite; it is the inheritance of every believer who responds to HIS invitation.
Scripture makes clear that GOD is not hiding from us. It is not GOD who withdraws, but often our hearts that become distracted, hurried, or burdened. Relationship with GOD is not sustained through activity, but through presence. HE desires hearts that are willing to sit, listen, and remain with HIM.
Scripture reminds us to draw near to GOD and HE will draw near to you. (James 4:8)
This invitation is simple but weighty. GOD draws near to those who choose proximity over productivity. Nearness requires intention. It requires slowing down and allowing GOD to be more than a concept, allowing HIM to be present.
JESUS modeled this relationship with the FATHER. HE withdrew often to be alone with GOD. HE lived from intimacy, not pressure. HIS obedience flowed from closeness, not obligation.
Sisters and brothers, GOD is not asking for perfection. HE is inviting you closer. Relationship is where transformation begins.
A Moment of Response
Pause here. Lay aside distraction and expectation. Allow GOD to draw you near today.
Father God,
Draw our hearts close to YOU. Remove anything that keeps us distant, distracted, or hurried. Teach us how to remain in YOUR Presence and trust YOUR nearness. In JESUS Name. Amen.
_______________
— This exhortation is sealed in intimacy, trust, and faith in JESUS CHRIST.
Sisters and brothers, may our lives bring glory to GOD, and may JESUS CHRIST alone be exalted in all we do. In the mighty name of JESUS, Amen.
